In December 2025, the Amesbury Public Library was officially added to the National Register of Historic Places a distinguished honor that highlights the Library’s enduring legacy, architectural significance, and the vital role it plays in the Amesbury community. This designation not only celebrates the Library as a cherished historic landmark, but also reinforces its essential role as a vibrant hub for learning, civic engagement, and the preservation of local heritage.

From themed bookbags or multiple copies of the same title to classroom visits or field trips to the library--and beyond--the library's Youth Services department supports educators in various ways.

4. Next you will be taken to a page containing a Redeem button. Click the button.
5. You will need to either register for a free New York Times account or sign in with an existing one. 
6. After receiving confirmation that your access code is valid, you will have 24 hours of unlimited access to News, Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, and The Athletic.
7. To continue after 24 hours, simply revisit this page and restart the process.
